So I am excited about all the concerts coming up that I am going to.
First March 3rd, Badly Drawn Boy is playing.
I picked up tickets for Paul and I on Friday. His nephew is going too, which should be fun. Zack (Paul's nephew) is a really nice kid. Kelly unfortunately decided that the TLA are "being douche bags" and charging too much for the show. (Really almost 25.00 dollars, it is kind of gross)
Second March 27th, Decembrists.
It will be the second time seeing them this year (if you count November to November as the year). They are playing at the Tower Theater, which is one of my favorite venues. I saw the BNL (shut up) and Beck there. Beck dry humped a bed on stage, so that was a pretty intense concert.
Something that bothers me about Tower however is the lack of foresight that the common concert viewer posses about their seating situation. I understand that people get excited about the performance, and I can understand the need to dance. What doesn't make sense is standing the entire time if there are seats available. Take me for example, when someone is standing in front of me brandishing a lighter and screaming the lyrics to their favorite song (which incidentally they don't sound like the lead singer at all) I cannot see in front of them. I am only five feet from the ground. Even standing on tiptoes I am maybe 5'2. If everyone sat down, everyone could enjoy the show. So most concerts I am getting play by play from the person next to me.
I start doing yoga and Pilates again this week. This is a good thing since I will have to be in a bathing suit in about a month at the "TRADE SHOW". I am looking forward to this free trip to Florida because I am going to ditch most of the meetings (since I will probably not be working at Tyler next year, so it doesn't matter if I get in trouble) and probably get A LOT of free liquor. I am not looking forward to questions like "are those tattoos real?” "Did you know that last forever?” "Why do you have Steve Buscemi tattooed on you?” So I will have to explain to a bunch of work people why I have tattoos all over my body. Especially since I should have about two more tattoos by the middle of March. Don't get me wrong I love showing my tattoos off, just not to uptight people. I understand that I look a little bit like a Ripley's exhibit in a bathing suit with the tattoos, but I don't feel like spending a week explaining them, or every time I go out with these people hearing "Hey will you show so and so your tattoos?"
I think the trade show will be pretty ridiculous, and interesting. I also think it is going to be kind of sad. I am preparing myself for it.
I was going to write a lot more but my eyes hurt from my busy day yesterday, and I have Taxi season 1 from netflix.
I also have to take a nap to get wings with B-man.
Leann (there is NO "e" at the end of her name, weird?) left for Brazil today, and I think he might be a little bummed.
Wish my abs luck tomorrow after Pilates!
